Chilliwack Mental Health Advisory Committe

Welcome to Our Website!

The Chilliwack Mental Health Advisory Committee (CMHAC), one of many similar organizations developed between 1989 and 1992 by the Ministry of Health, is made up of local individuals who have a mental illness (persons with lived experiences), family members or friends of this population and people who provide services to this population.

The purpose of this committee has historically been to improve services and programs for people with serious and persistent mental illness by advising mental health management about gaps in service, whether the services available were meeting the need and by proposing alternative solutions.
